Coaches- Get your USA Wrestling background check and safe sport training completed. The simplest way to do this (i.e., if you are not purchasing a USA wrestling coaches card) is to have coaches log in or create an account on www.usawmembership.com, then “purchase membership,” and then proceed to registering as an “event volunteer.” Your coaches will have to purchase the background checks. No fees from OKWA will be collected for this. Remember though, if background checks are still valid from last year then coaches will only need to complete the safe sport training.
After these are completed, team administrators can add coaches to the OKWA website. Pictures must be uploaded when coaches names are initially submitted and separate email addresses have to be used for each coaches’ profile, including the administrator’s email. We will verify requirements have been met through the USA Wrestling verify site and then allow teams to print OKWA coaches badges. Please use the EXACT name associated with their USA Wrestling for coaches’ registration, otherwise this could cause delays in getting approval.
